Hi all,

Considering I am a newbie, this is my small contribution after receiving all the excellent feedback here.

As I found my GTS 250 is very difficult to center stand (on/off) a smooth garage floor and when maintenance underneath always found the center stand in obstruction. The motorcycle jack does not help hence a search for roll on wheel chock stands begins.

Since I do not plan to transport the vehicle besides riding and my shared garage will not allow any modifications. This really presents a challenge when it comes to selecting one to fulfill my needs with a small budget.

The best package
Condor prices at $145
Floor adaptor at $65

My alternative after an extended research
Trackside roll on wheel chock at $99
(there are plenty used but good among local private sales at half the cost)

Pros:
Accommodate tire size 15" to 21"; smooth on/off SOLO.
Stands firm without bolted down.
(does require during transport plus shims & tie downs)
Plenty of clearance for fender, brake disc & suspension fork etc...

Cons:
The 16" tire will leave a (1-2 inch) play front & side, this will result in the bike having a (5-10 degree) lean but will not fall over unless a rider is present.
Wood shims can be added for stability & perfectly upright if preferred.
Paddings (carpet/rubber) will increase friction and may require assistance when on/off if not bolted down.
(larger tire size will minimize or eliminate this problem)

The photos are slightly misleading, the tire is wedged down firmly into the rocker, the cavities on front & sides are not wide enough to cost a tilt over.

Hope this helps, happy riding, until next time. Best.[/u]

easy fix. make an extension bracket for the bolt on section and move that closer to the front to take up the couple inches so the wheel is better cradled.
