Hello everyone; new to the forum. I purchased a 2018 Primavera for my wife a few weeks ago and she loves it but have a question regarding another purchase for my daughter. Found a scooter in another state which will require shipping. What is the best practice for exchange of documents (title/bill of sale) - do they go with the shipper or should they be overnighted to my daughter? Thanks for any insight.

Welcome to the forum. Pics of your scooter(s) are always welcome, appreciated and some will say a requirement.
How far away is the scooter? Many people will buy a scooter, get to it and ride it home. |

My friend just sold a scooter. Went from Virginia Beach, VA to Florida. The shipper (U-Ship) picked the scooter up and all relevant paperwork. Easy process overall.

There is another shipper, motoshippers.com, that a lot of people are using for the upcoming scooter cannonball.

Welcome from Minnesota USA
I like your stable of rides. Many in my Maxi-Scooter group have moved
to the CanAm. That 73 Honda 350 is a real prize. My first ever two wheeler was a 1970 Honda CB125. Learned to ride on that Honda. Again welcome - my Vespa GTS300 Super

I've bought and sold a few scooters over state lines. When selling, I take a 30 second video of the scooter. I start and rev it up, and walk 360 around it. Once the seller finds an acceptable shipper through uship.com, I invoice them for 1/2 the purchase price through paypal. I send digital picutes of the paper work, title, bill of sale, etc... Once the shipper has contacted me for pickup, I invoice the buyer for the other 1/2 of the price. I usually put the keys, and all paperwork in an envelope, and send it along with the carrier. I release the scooter to the carrier once it has been paid in full. I've bought two cars through ebay out of state as well. In this case, I pay in full as soon as I win the auction or buy it now.

I always send the paperwork FedEx overnight, signature required. Always separate from the vehicle. If the vehicle is stolen enroute, I don't want the thief to have the paperwork.
