so I just got my Vespa back from the shop, a full service, Oil change, and finally new tires. In addition to all that they cleaned it up very nicely. But as I looked it over I have noticed a few little scratches, none very big, but I was thinking about getting some touch up paint to repair them. As it is a white Vespa should be easy to get. But my question to MV is, what is the best way to do this. In my experience using touch up paint on a couple cars, it has never looked very good. I have seen some places have touch up paint pens, some jars with applicators, etc. So does anyone have a good idea on a good, easy to use product, and if so where to get it?

thanks for any info

I just got a kit from these guys

https://scratcheshappen.com/

It's a good kit with everything you need to do a good fix.....everything that is except the experience, patience and delicate hands required to get professional results. lol Still I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to anyone. I got a scratch kit that had primer, paint and clear plus some brushes, etc. If you read through the material online you can do a pretty good job.

By all means buy some touch-up paint, just don't use the brush that comes with it. Instead buy a fine bristle artists brush so that the paint can be applied with accuracy and precision. Depending on the depth of the scratches, I'd use primer, top coat then clear coat. You'll be amazed how many shades of white there are, so I'd get the correct paint code which should be shown on a label underneath the pet carrier.

I've been here almost a year and I still chuckle every time I see that. It's part of how I knew I was in the right place! 👍

But does it still have the "no pets" sticker (in Italian)?

Not a perfect solution, but I've generally used nail polish. It's cheap, comes in a billion colors, and works just fine for very small scratches in rarely-seen areas that you just need to cover to protect, as opposed to trying to make it blend in. When I dumped my ivory GTV, there wasn't any touch-up paint available yet anywhere. I got a few bottles of nail polish, found one that worked pretty well, and hardly anyone could tell unless I pointed it out to them. If you get the nicer stuff, it can dry pretty tough.
