What do I need in order to have my headlight always powered?

I have a 77 Rally 200 and the headlight only comes on while reving the throttle. What do I need (SIP preferred) to change up my electrics, so that the headlight just stays on with an on/off switch.

Thanks in advance for any advice and time taken.

Do you mean that the headlight gets brighter as the revs increase? That's normal for a vintage Vespa. There are a variety of things you could do to improve the situation, such as an upgraded stator plate, but you'll need to know what you're doing.

If however you mean that there is no light at all until you twist the grip, I'd suspect a loose connection in the headset/switch somewhere.

You can always upgrade your stator to the exact same one used on a P200. You can modify it yourself (just machine it out at the back), or order one from SIP 85121000.

However, if you go this route, you will need a P200 crank and flywheel as well.
