I have been collecting parts to upgrade one of my 50's with the Malossi big bore kit and I watched the Robot video a couple times. In it he says that (Vespa?) recommends checking the valve clearances at the first service (600 mi)? Maybe it is just his recommendation based on a lot of experience?

I want to independently verify this but I do not see that in my manuals that I downloaded. I have the LX50 workshop manual and the Owners manual.

In fact I am not seeing any mention of checking valve clearances anywhere! DOH!

Is it called something else?

My 150 was 600 miles, as were my Moto Guzzi V7s. Piaggio is pretty consistent on valve checks.
