Afternoon, all!
I've seen a number bed of posts regarding recommended technique for removing the factory stickers from glovebox. Most suggest using moderate heat from hairdryer, then follow up with Goo-Gone, or similar.

My worry is that Goo-Gone or mineral oil may leave a shiny residue. Any suggestions for a process for matte paint finish would be greatly appreciated!

I don't hve experience of matt paint, but a hairdrier followed by eucalyptus oil or kerosene / paraffin has always worked for me. A follow-up bike wash should remove the last traces completely.

I removed my factory stickers on my matte black bike with the hair dryer waft method. Those stickers just wanted to come off with ease. They came off so easy I put them on the inside of the glove box when taken off. Don't overheat and I think you'll be fine. Good luck!

The problem is the residual glue that may remain, in which case a non-abrasive cleaner for opaque surfaces (Motul Matt cleaner or similar) is used.

Update
Good morning, I followed advice here, used hairdryer on high setting, judiciously. The glove box label came off cleanly, on both scoots.

The same technique on the lower panel did not respond easily. The label peeled off in little bits, took patience, and left behind a lot of goo. Using alcohol dissolved the glue residue, and followed with Dr Beasley Matte Paint Cleaner then Finish. Super great products. Perfect results.
