Hi guys, hoping to bring this lovely little Sky Blue LX150 back to life in the coming weeks. It's been sitting for many years. Was hoping some of you could point me in the right direction...

Battery, tires, filter & fluids are in order....Michelin City Grips way to go? I kinda like the idea of white walls on this color but can't find any reviews. Will mostly be driven in NYC.

ScooterWest seems very reasonable, anywhere on the East Coast?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to MV!

Don't forget the drive belt...probably check/replace hoses as well.

City Grips are well-rated. I think the consensus of whitewalls overall is that it's aesthetics over quality.

Scooterpartsco used to be East Coast, now Arkansas, IIRC. Worth a look as well as ScooterWest.

Where in NYC are you located? I have the LX's cousin, the S, in Westchester.

For parts, I look first at Scooterpartsco, then AF1racing, then Scooterwest, then SIP-Scootershop in Germany, which has an amazing selection and often surprisingly reasonable shipping. You often find great deals on stuff on eBay, occasionally Amazon, and AliExpress (if you can deal with VERY long shipping times).

scooterpartsco will get you the stuff you need on the pronto. i'm west coast and get stuff in two days.

probably grab some tires online from amazon or bikebandit. any whitewalls you're gonna get (unless from germany and $$) are gonna be trash. buy some good donuts. the michelin's are great.

as mentioned: fluids and filters, flush and bleed the brakes, replace ALL of the vacuum lines and fuel hoses. you may or may not need a new plug. grease the steering bearings and check if they need adjustment. if you're that deep, lube front hub and caliper carrier, check the speedo cable at the same time. check, adjust and lube ALL the controls. pull the transmission down, i'd do a belt and depending on the mileage rollers and guides, but for sure go through everything and clean, lube and inspect.

knock it all back together and ride.

Thank you all for the welcome! And thank you for the further tips! I'm on the Upper East Side. Figured as much in regards to the white walls....not the end of the world.
