Ginchi,
The main difference to the 10" terror" is they were also trying to make it "look" like a Vespa, whereas I have no intention of making it look like what it was, which makes life easier. The final shape will have some relation to the size/location of the motor.

I'm also a fan of deception... and painted the Civic with 2 styles of paint on the sides, as realised it is impossible to see BOTH sides of a vehicle at the same time & therefore there is no need for them to "match".

Ohh, Voodoo, there is no chance I would make (nor admit to making) such a hideous thing! Not on my watch matey

I recently got to spend way too many drunken hours on a plane (from Melbourne to Tel Aviv), & scrawled a few more designs... any thoughts?
Currently my favs from this batch are; S & AJ, but AN is growing on me... do you have a fav?

This batch did highlight an issue I hadn't thought about; there is no point in making a design, then adding a rear rack, storage or "top box" (or whatever) to carry all the crap we tend to carry, it MUST be integrated within the initial design, otherwise it defeats the purpose of the initial design.... so back to the drawing board with a few of them.

P.S. I generally don't look back at prior designs/drawings when drawing, so sometimes they end up similar.
P.P.S. As with the prior designs, Most are merely showing the rear area (side panels, seat, rear rack, taillight). The front legshield has a pretty simple design, so not as integral to the overall design. Front guard will "magically happen" once the rear has been decided on.
There may be an integrated trailer, which needs to be considered (refer early notes/design)
P.P.P.S. The seat needs to be integrated into the shape, rather than sitting on top of the shape (as with most Vespa seats),& needs to be ok for 2 people, hence why the "king&queen" style keeps appearing. Rider needs to be able to sit comfortably with their legs "inside" the cowls (eg. No wider than scoot, not hanging out the sides). Pillion's legs also need to be within the total width, but comfortable & sitting naturally when seated. .

I think that AN is my favorite.

I always struggle to "see" the vision in design drawings. My brother got all those skills, which is why he's the architect and I'm the nerd in the family.

I totally agree that not accounting for add-on's is basically setting yourself up for disappointment. Just don't create a HomerMobile and you're good to go.

Luckily there is no Rack & Peanut steering to consider, but making something dumb looking is easier than making something cool.

AN sure did grow on me the more I looked at it
Design "AN"

I like AN because it's both distinctive and has a nice, streamlined flow to it.

The other ones I like tend to resemble existing designs, like as you noted about one, "Too Smallie-looking." For example, I also like AM a lot, but it looks very much like an early 60's largeframe, i.e. like a VBB or GL.

That's one of the hardest things to design..
Making it look different to 70+ years of "scooters" .
I do like ArtDeco style though

Thank you, I like that design, especially the straight line of the side trim amongst all the bubbles, very "me" style.

That is beautiful, but for some reason, I keep humming, "Go Speed Racer, Go Speed Racer..." every time I look at those pictures.

The mid 50-60s were truly the high water mark for european auto design. With 1930's delahaye's at the top of the list too.

Clearly, skirts do it for me.
