The 2008 mp3 400ie I just bought, with only 580 miles on it, and in EXCELLENT condition, came with the much taller F.Fabbri windshield on it, that a rider would have to be almost 7' tall to see OVER this windshield.

I am adamant about looking OVER the windshield, rather than THROUGH it.

I have searched for alternate windshields for this bike, can only find the Givi D501ST available, but it is the same height as the one I have.

Can NOT find the Givi Air Flow, or AF windshield, that I have seen on other 400ie's, as Givi may no longer make/sell that AF model.

The one that I would like, is the F. Fabbri 2343/E-X windshield, as it is 6" shorter, and is a perfect fit.

QUESTION: Can anyone point me in the right direction of an available windshield for my 2008 Piaggio mp3 400ie, that is only about 600 to 640mm tall.

I was surprised to find that I could NOT find any windshield vendors in the vendor ads on this forum.

Thanks

Can you post a picture of the bike and the windshield mount points so folks can see how tall it is and how it connects?

There might be some folks willing to trade you the shorter windshield in exchange for a taller one for the cost of shipping.

You could also just take the windshield off and store it then only put it on for bad weather riding. Just takes a couple minutes to add or remove it.

Update
You might also try EasyParts (adjust settings for USA/English), it looks like they have the shorter windscreen but you need to make sure its compatible with your bike.

AF1 Racing also looks to have some options for the Mp3-400

Oooooppppsss......too late. I went ahead and cut the windshield down to the height I wanted. It came out pretty good.
Thanks for suggestion anyway, as it may be helpful to others.

the best windshield for the 250/400's is the givi airflow adjustable you can order them thru AF1 racing.

LOL Laughing emoticon
It was only 0 day, 3 hours, 18 minutes, and 0 second between posting and reply.

Glad it worked out and your happy with the results Its just soft plastic so a good sharp bansaw or Dremel could make short work of a cut if careful enough.

Best and enjoy the Mp3 . Its got its quirks to get used to but its a fun and convenient machine to own.

Good solution. I have cut down a couple of tall windscreens myself. As long as you are careful, the job comes out pretty good. And doing it yourself means that the windshield height is "exactly" what you wanted.

A Dremel tool, a couple of cutoff wheel attachments, and some painters tape goes a long way to have a pro looking cut down windshield.

Top tip: Wear eye protection as this stuff flies everywhere.

Hi, I am looking for a tall one, I am in Greenacre NSW 2190, Australia, if you like to swap with mine (original Piaggio that came with MP3 400ie 2009 model), I am happy to swap, mine is perfect, no damage or scratches. Let me know, thanks,
