Ive posted this in the not so modern, yes its an auto but these scooters were a nod to the old Vespa PK. The short lived LML Star Lite.
Now i believe they were short lived purely as LML collapsed. What a great pity. I was extremely fond of my P125 ETS (PK). Back in the day i have a PX200 for long hauls and the smaller frame PK was brilliant for flying around town on, the ETS had a top speed of 62mph. I was gearing up to buy a Star Lite until i got news of troubles at LML and potential collapse. Of course they did collapse.
You can buy brand new unregistered Star Lites on ebay in the UK. They look nice, have the raised comfy seat on too for taller folk and will also reach a top speed or around 60 when loosened up.
My question to you the forum is, would you be mad to buy one now? As the factory no longer makes parts, is there anybody out there who has got hold of the factory tooling, are there any third party manufacturers out there producing parts? I see that SIP have various bits and bobs in stock, such as drive belts, automatic clutch bells etc. If it were a bog standard LML Star 2 stroke, its not an issue as most piaggio stuff interchangeable.
What is the consensus about getting one? Worth the risk? 2k for brand new scooter that actually looks a like a vespa is really cheap.
Here is an ebay add to the picture posted. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LML-Lite-125-scooter-small-frame/392710249683?hash=item5b6f5adcd3:g:26MAAOSw8kVdhR8G
