Does anyone recognize this? I found it on the floorboard of my 1980 P200 after working (mostly) under the headset. For all I know, it could be part of some piece of camping gear but I didn't want to drive too far without trying to find out what it is.

Any thoughts?

Looks like a protector for headlight bulb connections to me, though I've never seen one, but that's the first thing that popped into my head.
