This is simply reflecting on the past week (or so's) personal trails and tribulations which aren't as dour as they might seem by my description here.

- Weather: It's 'breaking" but only in fits-and-starts. I got a bit too comfy with temps in the mid-60s (Fahernheit, to be clear), only to get sucker-punched a week or so later with sub-freeing temps some nights. Yuck.

- Club Rides: Tomorrow (that is, Saturday the 17th here), I'll be taking place on the second ride this year (but the first I've attended) for the Jersey Shore Chaos Crew. If you're anywhere near this bunch, absolutely check them out.

- Technical Details on Melody: From a question posted on That Thread:

Together with the upgraded powertrain bits, the bike really does feel better-than-new. I laughed when one of the techs at Monmouth said "careful, now...you've got a little hot rod now." I'd say he was only half-joking.
As it turns out, I was at Indian/Vespa/Piaggio/Moto-Guzzi/Zero of Monmouth today (Friday), and asked their service department techs what they deal was: they told me, to the best of their knowledge, they installed 15-gram rollers, with a detailed explanation I'm too tired at the moment to recall. Suffice to say, I have no complaints regarding the outcome.

- Speaking of my dealer: While I was here, I noticed fewer motos/scoots on the display floor, and most of the bikes that were there had "SOLD" placards on them. The supply/demand thing is still out-of-kilter, but they're expecting added inventory PDQ. Put another way: it's a seller's market for the time being.
Displayed: Two Vespas and a Guzzi.

Forget Mickey & Pals: Pink's my rolling spirit-animal.

Yours is not a scooter, it is an Italian subway construction site ... it is always under construction.

Interesting to see them "upgrade" to whitewalls. They're cute, but they seem to be a novelty item. I've yet to see any whitewalls that I would actually want to ride on.

This Pink Panther Prima is, I believe, a one-off, but I didn't inquire further about it; I'll try and get more info later. Given my riding habits, I wouldn't give whitewalls a second look either.
