Many people have used it to power a USB port for charging phones and gps. It also has turn signal power lines and some have used those to power a beeper as reminder that the turn signals are on.

That is for the alarm system. It has both switched and unswitched power, and can be used to power phones/gps/other as well as to provide an outlet for a battery maintainer (on the unswitched line). You can get a basic plug/outlet from scooterwest for about $15, and an entire panel with USB outlet (just plug it into that plug) for about $45.
