Y'all can change the local CSS all you want. But it will probably break at some point in the future.

Ctrl-Opt-Command-8 makes for a great dark mode on the mac. Pictures and emoticons render as normal. The MV logo turns to minty fresh.

The main obstacle, at the moment, is that ImageMagick does not appear to support HEIC without the libheif library, and that isn't generally available as a compiled installation. So you have to clone the GitHub repo and build it from source.

Kind of a pain.

I've noticed that some threads give a warning about parts of the page not being secure.

I think it's happening on pages that have a scooted map in the signature.

On some pages (example), the image doesn't render - just the link to it.

Using latest version Firefox on Windows 10.

Well, that is a tracking feature of sorts.

It is most likely posts that have an image uploaded via the now-defunct postbot (mail-to-thread) feature. Those had hard-coded URLs for the images, which were (at the time) http. I am working on a script to hunt them down and change them.

Makes sense. Now that you mention, I see all the .gif scooter maps are http links to modernvespa.net

Are you still trying to beta the new site? Because I just tried the URL and it's not able to be reached...

Out of curiosity, when did the postbot go away? I guess it's been a long time since I used it, since I went looking to generate a link for a thread yesterday and couldn't find it...

Now to see if my guess about the Molto Verboso award is right...

That's what I figured, but I noticed this post hadn't been locked. It probably should be...

Thanks, Miguel!
