Got the LetsEncrypt going, too, I see.
Yes. It was the LetsEncrypt / Certbot addition that necessitated the CloudFront + certificate change for the static content, since Android apparently won't allow mixed content by default. And I'm unlikely to give up S3 as a store for member uploads, so CloudFront it is.

Shows secured for me this morning, but no images in android using chrome browser.
Sigh.

This might be a dealbreaker for HTTPS and MV.
I have pictures now, android using chrome, it's a inexpensive Amazon fire 10 tablet, with chrome.

Second tablet which is a Samsung running android works with chrome and Firefox.

IPhone X with safari, chrome and Firefox has pictures also.

I have a 11 year old Dell windows 10 laptop also. I was going to replace it, but put a SSD drive in it, and now its as fast for my use as a tablet. I'm not a gamer or high bandwidth user.

If you have a particular combination you would like to try let me know.

w00t! Thanks for the update. Android is the case I was trying to fix, as it appears to be the strictest.

Is there any chance that you could make the LATEST post on the topic appear at the TOP/START (i guess thats "reverse order")?
Otherwise you need to scroll to see the latest post

Probably not. There used to be a popup at the bottom of threads that allowed that, but it's been gone for years. I think the general wisdom on this is that these are conversations, and they have a linear order.

That said, I suspect that you will find life much easier if you start using the jump-to-latest button next to each topic. This jumps to the first unread post in the thread.

I want to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the people who helped beta-test the new server. You helped shake out a lot of bugs and made the transition last night that much smoother.

Cheers!

Thank YOU Jess, a tense evening of cold turkey has me relieved that you pulled this off so well. Better check the main plug anyway, if it's black you are running rich, but if it's chalk white better upjet or server may seize.

Thank you Jess.
Does this mean we have to stop trying to break it?

I was white-knuckling it, I'll tell you what. Especially when apache refused to start up because I had misconfigured the encryption / certificate setup. Thought I was going to have to roll back.

Yes, you can stop trying to break it. That said, if you see something that looks broken, let me know and I'll tell you if it was always broken or new broken.

Apache? No NGINX?

Seriously, a aahuge thank you, Jess, because I know how stressful a cutover like that can be, and then to have it almost tripped up and rolled back over something "simple" is the worst.

And as for not trying to break things... You came to the wrong sub-forum for that request!

Didn't get a chance to do some damage when needed, but I've stumbled upon a small bug now. Images attached to messages post server upgrade do not retain correct aspect ratio but get squished.

Appreciate all the effort for longevity of the community! And all the minor UI improvements that make our experience even better...

Just wanted to mention to all that this should be fixed now. Thanks again for the tip!
