Yeah thanks, they are my favourite things and I'm always tinkering. No just the one spare behind the leg shield. The box on the back holds a foot pump and gloves etc etc, the side panel on the other side is a tool box unlike the PX which holds the spare wheel.

99% finished 1987 PX200E restoration. Repainted in it's original colour and enhanced with PX Disc headset, LML disc hub (on original forks) to keep it [almost] period, and T5 mirrors. This was in grey primer in my garage for many years, and it's engine was in another scooter. Finally reunited

Thanks Ferris. Credit for the prep and paint goes to Rich Tyler Engineering in Birmingham. Other than a bit of high build primer to deal with a tiny amount of pitting on the floor, no body filler nor welding was required. Rich's attention to detail was incredible. I put it together using A4 stainless fixings throughout, with 0.5mm nylon washers or neoprene shims wherever possible, to prevent paint damage and/or vibrations. rattles are my pet hate on Vespas!!

So many gorgeous bikes in this thread. Now I'm going to jump in here and fix that...

First up is the Stella, which got me back into scooters after many years. I bought it new, so every dent is my fault. It's seen a lot of miles and a lot of Chicago winters. It has snow tires and has been laid down more times than I can count.

The Sprint is a 1976 Sprint Veloce. I got it off a guy who saw me on the Stella and asked if I knew a place that worked on vintage bikes. Turned out out he just wanted to get it running well enough to sell, so I got the Deal Of The Century ($500 with a title) on that one.

The GL came from Patrick (OopsClunkThud) when he was cleaning out his project backlog. It's now mid-project for a retromod with such paint and a hot P200 motor.

Finally, the VBB. It's a 1962 that my father-in-law and a buddy repainted, but could never get the motor sorted on. That was my first motor rebuild, and other than being a bit worst for wear itself, is still a lot of 8" fun.

I couldn't find a picture of it, so here's a video instead.

Stella!

Sweet roll, my 1963 GL, when it first arrived

A more recent picture of Sweetroll. Just use your imagination.

Thanks! When I got the bike it considered a bodge, upon taking a good look it was a near perfect VNB! What better way to show it off!

Media blast everything, fill random holes, powder coat the frame, tank, glove box, splash guard, etc.
The leg shield, outer frame, front fender, handlebars and rear foot boards will be painted Bright White and the horn cast and cowls will be a medium turquoise.
The engine will be bumped to 200cc.

This is my sentimental favorite. Ten years ago I found it next to somebody's trash to be picked up , knocked on the door and asked if it was being discarded. Yeah, he said, the bottom is all rusted away and the motor is stuck and I got another one now.
Came back with my car and tossed it in back. Then about five years ago , I got after it w/ a fresh floor, a PK fork and a hopped up 125 w/ a Leo Vinci PK pipe and a 20L carb! The only thing I had to paint was the repop Asian seamless mudguard, the original was too badly rusted. Notice that this is the special off road model, with the preformed bent kickstart lever.

Just gassing up, but too late now to fire it up. Forgot to latch seat.

I'd love to transfer this graphic if I can, both sides.
Somebody please
