I have restored a 1987 PX200E, using the original wiring loom, and I have upgraded to a disc brake and PX Disc headset with Grimeca MC. This may not be news to everyone, but I discovered a spare socket at the bottom of the loom 'junction box' behind the horn cover. I compared it to my 2012 PX150 and saw that the socket is used for the front brake light switch. I ordered the two wire cable and retro-fitted it to the old loom. Voila, the front brake operates the brake light!! I guess it was specified somewhere in the world back in the '80s, even though it was never a feature on a UK model.

Thought this would be useful for anyone doing a similar 'upgrade'.

there were a couple of different looms "back in the day"

that one is defo for a post 86 model - prob without battery.... the other usual option is to take a tap from the rear brake cable with an extension piece

well done for actually taking the time to look and post! - that sort of thing helps newbies..... keep it up!!!

Yes Gravel, it's a UK market non-battery PX200E. Cheers for your comments
