Has anyone bought a bike lift that works on scooters that doesn't cost the earth
Been looking at the hudrilic platform ones but not sure if the base of the scooter is able to take the weight
Not got loads of room so a massive 100 quid bike ramp is out of the question
And as you lot know everything vespa thought I would ask again 😂😂

DIY
Hi, I don't have a lift. And I actually haven't built this yet. But, I've had it bookmarked and one of these days I will.

You can find these used every once in a while. I got mine for ~$100.

I love my H F table, adjustable height and low enough for this old man to roll it up there, It does require 50 pumps to get it to max height.

They are what I class as ramps
What I'm thinking of looks more like a oversized car jack

Main thing I would use it for is removing wheels for tyre changing

500 € minimum for a decent one, I put it on my shopping list for the end of 2021

Believe me, when you have one you will use it for many things and not just for the scooter ... it can also be an excellent height adjustable workbench.

With current lumber prices in the US that's what? About $5000?

😉

Wood
It's been about a year, but I love this place for lumber. I've gotten furniture grade plywood from them a few times. It is better quality, free delivery (!), and lower prices than lumber from the big box stores.

Even with some differences in color and strength, fir woods are generally quite similar, hard and resistant, marked by deep veins. They are used for structures and furniture made to last over time. The price in Italy is 900-1300 € / m³.
Instead, the price of iron profiles varies from € 0.60 to € 0.70 per kilogram, but to build a metal structure you need to know how to weld and have a different experience than building a wooden structure, which in my opinion is easier to assemble. .
Many of you don't know it but I was (many years ago) deputy production director and chief designer in a large wood furniture and structures factory (here the link: https://www.facebook.com/DEVOTODESIGN/ )

I didn't really have a reason to go to this website but I did.
Now can somebody tell me what "Scooter Board" is?

I use this... also from Harbor Freight. Works great, but you have to use the straps to get a scooter to balance properly.

It's a bit dear at the regular price of $299, but I got mine on sale a few years ago for about $180. Much more compact than the massive HF platform lift.

"Scooterboard is moisture resistant and is coated white 2 sides with a beautiful non-glare finish. Direct UV Digital Printing, screen printing and vinyl adheres without any surface preparation. Scooter Board UV weighs 1/3 less than high-density hardboards such as Duron. It's 3/16" core is perfect for real estate sign frames.

Scooter Board UV readily accepts vinyl, digital flatbed printing, and engraving as well as a variety of screening inks. Since each material has different characteristics and longevity we recommend testing to determine the best method for your application.
"

Plus the cute picture of the doggie!

How do you balance even a scooter on something like that. The picture of the huge bike, yikes! There must be a method though.

I use one of these combined with a front wheel chock like this and it works ok. You do need to lie on the floor sometimes and isn’t as convenient as full lift.
