does anyone know if the Tip-over short circuit to positive means that if one is on a long trip you drop the scooter over onto its side,
one would have to find a dealership and pay to get this reset so one could carry on with the trip ???

No, it's fine.

After it cuts out you can stand your bike up and start it again.

Did this about a month ago with my supertech after dropping it on a muddy road in the middle of a forest.

I took my tipover sensor apart on my Scarabeo.

It's a ball bearing rolling back and forth on a curved track. When the bearing rolls so far that it hits either side of the curve, it completes a circuit and the engine cuts out. When the scooter becomes more vertical again, the circuit is opened and the engine can start again.

That's all it does.
