I begin to have on the balls of this incompetents ...Between viruses and rockets out of control, they begin to tire..!

"Chinese rocket, alert for Central and Southern regions: "Stay indoors"

The return of the Chinese space rocket 'Long March 5B' is scheduled for 9 May. The Italian regions that could be affected by its trajectory are Umbria, Lazio, Abruzzo, Molise, Campania, Basilicata, Puglia, Calabria, Sicily and Sardinia. A meeting of the Civil Protection Operational Committee was held today to analyze the hypothetical scenarios. The suggestion is to "stay indoors". The return should take place around 2.24 local time, on 9 May, but the time window of uncertainty is about 6 hours.

Don't worry...
It's not you, it's me.

You know it's May already. That really is a long March.

It's our new Skylab. Perhaps "Long March" will show up in a cult movie like Skylab did in "Dogs in Space."

Until then, duck and cover.

https://www.baritoday.it/cronaca/caduta-razzo-cinese-puglia-allerta-protezione-civile.html

Avoid open places, stay indoors and away from windows and glass doors. These are the main indications released by the National Civil Protection, which identified Puglia among the ten central-southern regions "potentially affected" by the fall of fragments of the Chinese space rocket 'Lunga Marcia 5B'.

"The Italian Space Agency - reads the note released by the Municipality of Bari - has predicted that the fall of the fragments is currently expected in the night between Saturday 8 May and Sunday 9 May in a band that also includes the territory of the Puglia region . Such events are very rare and self-protection behaviors are not codified "

"The Civil Protection considers it useful to provide some useful information to the population so that self-protection behaviors are adopted. It is unlikely that the fragments cause the collapse of buildings. Therefore, buildings are to be considered safer than open places. glass windows and doors ".

"The fragments impacting on the roofs of buildings could cause damage, perforating the roofs themselves and the floors below. Not having precise information on the vulnerability of individual structures, it can be said that the lower floors of buildings are safer. structurally safer places, in the eventual impact, for masonry buildings are the vaults of the lower floors, the doorways inserted in the load-bearing walls, for reinforced concrete buildings, the places near the columns and in any case near the walls . Smaller fragments are not visible from the ground before impact. Some large fragments could survive the impact. Since these fragments could contain highly toxic substances (hydrazine), anyone who sees such fragments will need to keep at least 20 meters away. and report the fact to the competent authorities

The odds of this landing on your head are about as likely as Santa Claus cancelling Christmas.

However yeah they should probably be more careful with these things. There is a LOT of space junk up there.

Fortunately I understand the area at risk of debris impact is between 41.5 degrees N and 41.5 degrees S. In other words not in Canada - and not in Oregon. Thank heaven for small favors.

Done, it looks like it fell into the Indian ocean ...
Now I wonder, what will they do next time?
I hope they raise the quality of their scooters, at least there will be a fallout that many expect.
Finally, the space junk problem is still not solved.
What happened is just a warning, as if we didn't already have pollution problems on Earth and in her skies, now even in space.
I expect that sooner or later some Sidereal Committee will show up to demand civil behavior and I hope they don't even charge us a fine, I'm afraid it would be quite high!
