Hey Paul,

Check out Chris's (scootNewb) 64 Allstate - engine is a VNB5, 4 speed. Now it's got a Pinasco 177 kit on it.

Well engine has been sitting with penetrating oil in it for a few weeks now and the piston still won't budge. Appears to be at BDC so rapping on the piston won t be effective.
Rotating as far as it will move makes the jug ride up the studs and blocking the bottom of the jug before rapping the piston is still not effective.
Any suggestions to be able to at least salvage the cylinder, crank and con rod, the most expensive parts to replace?

No. Just replace those parts.

Nice find, I would say you're fortunate that it's all together. I'm sure others with much more knowledge than myself will come along. But if it were me and the motor was frozen I think what I would do is pull the head, double nut the cylinder studs and the way I would go at it just to make sure you don't fracture the case itself is give a snug to tighten and then a bit back to loosen and keep going back and forth until it is loose. Then work from there. It I would also expect to be buying a new cylinder and piston at least.
