I've rolled out another forum award, this one geared toward all the people (and I know there are quite a few) who have completed a Scooter Cannonball. If you have completed a Cannonball, respond here, and include the year(s) of the event.

You are welcome to list multiple years, and we will list all the years on the award. I am leaning strongly toward only a single SCB award per person, which seems like the proper amount of restraint (Cough*BillDog*Cough).

I have been studiously avoiding awarding myself anything, as it feels... wrong, somehow.

Ok I get it but your one of the first and helped get this crazy mass huge event going to where it is today.

I don't have the powers to actually put the symbols on your profile but you do deserve to have them.

The Scooter Cannonball Run is an amazing event.

I started three, 2014, 2016 and 2018.

Unfortunately only finished 2016 in Mukilteo, placing a respectable third overall.

I am registered for 2021, but I will probably be following from home.

Or off on an Oyster Tour.

As for the SS1000, I only did two.

I never turned in the paperwork for the second, as it was such a strange experience.

So you can remove one if the paperwork is needed.

The date of the second SS1000 was 10/21/2015.

It was run entirely in the state of Florida.

Jacksonville, west to Perry, pick up I-75 in High Springs to Naples. Then 41 across the Everglades. Then north from Miami on the Florida Turnpike and I-95 back to Jacksonville.

Flordian offered a fine Italian dinner at a gas station near Titusville.

I will never do another big loop, but could try another in good weather to visit my two grown children, one in NYC, the other in Chicago. Both conveniently almost exactly 1000 miles from home.
