I'm thinking about selling my TS 125. It's based on a Rally 200 with a 125cc engine with three overflowers. It was sold only in Europe, somehow this one made it to the US where I purchased it from a Vespa mechanic. It runs great and is literally in new condition with about 35,000 kilometers on the odometer.

I have NO idea what it is worth and will be selling it in Portland Oregon.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Should be at least 2 to 2.5K, likely more if top original condition, good original paint and mechanically zero problems - all depending on local market supply and demand. Yours looks really good. Most places now the demand is up and supply of good pre P shifties is meager. I had one w/ a 150 top end, they are great bikes, and truly Junior Rallys for high rolling Euro 16 year olds when they came out.

Really? Is that all they are worth in the US?
In Europe (well Switzerland) it would be wort at least double that?
Maybe less demand in the US?

It's crazy how prices have changed. In the past the going rate for P200 was 2500. Now it's 3k to 4K with others asking for more then that. Regardless of the model, original paint scooters in good conditions are asking much more then in the past. Patina rust paint is asking for just a little bit less. Back in the day almost everyone wanted to paint and add high gloss. I guess the frequency of bodges sometimes makes shiny paint a necessity and not a requirement for restorations.

Do some research to determine whats the going rate for a scooter similar to yours and that will give you a better idea of how much it would sell. Scoot.net, Facebook market, forums for sale section, and other online places are places of good examples.

Good luck,

It looks like a non-standard/non-Piaggio colour and it appears to be two stage paint, judging by the finish. It's full Euro spec. with the Rally tail light and no indicators. I have seen a 125 t.s in US spec. with autolube and indicators, but it may have been possible to specify these as options in Europe back in the mid '70s. Who knows?

A t.s can fetch the equivalent of $3K in the UK, assuming it stacks up. There was a white one on eBay back in March which sold for this amount. It had good provenance, was bought and used by a US film director, and was in it's original paint. Bit scruffy in places but in very good shape.

Lotsa good comments.

Also, lotsa good questions would have to be answered to comment more accurately on price. Are the cases OG and straight? Did someone add an aftermarket jug? Has someone been in the cases dremeling away at transfer ports? What's underneath the shiny paint? etc etc.

Cool scoot. Good luck with the sale! Let us know what ya get for it.

There's sadly not a big market for those in the US. Everyone wants a Rally 200, not the slower, odd little brother.

Since you are in Portland and it's a vibrant scooter community, you definitely have the odds in your favor. Try 2500-3k and probably settle for low 2s.

Very nice scoot, and looks like it's in great shape. Interesting model, the "tourismo sport" ... basically a Rally with a 3-port 125 engine.

I think you guys are low on value. If it's all good mechanically I'd say $3 -3.5K easy in today's market.

I saw a rust bucket 1977 TS for sale on Craigslist in Reno for $5000 last month. The posting expired, though. No idea if it sold.

That bike is gorgeous!

I did say 'at least' and a lot depends on if that pretty paint is original or just a decent respray. But you're right, and it would even be worth more here in Greece, although you can still get a nice P much cheaper here but the old ones are all gone or the owners now know what they are worth. Also depends on sellers patience, somebody will pay top dollar if the bike is right, it's advertised around well and owner can bide his time.
