Hello. I have a perculiar problem. (No I have not been to the Doctors) My problem is, that the front nearside, inner half of the tyre is wearing rapidly. The offside is wearing all across the width of the tyre. At speed the Scoot does vibrate slightly.
The machine has been back to the dealers to be checked, waste of time that was. 100 mile round trip and nothing wrong.
I have checked the measurement between the two tyres and the rims, top and bottom, no difference in the two wheels.
It looks to me as if the tyre is not runnung true but according to the measurement it is.
The Scoot has only done 10,000 miles and is on its second set of front tyres
Any help/advice would be appreciated.
The Scoot is a late 2018 Mp3 500 Sport.
I have looked round the forum and it looks like no one else has the same problem.

Nearside is the drivers side or left side for people who drive on the right.
Offside is the passenger side or right side.
Sorry if you already know this.

Thank you. I have checked all the bearings but not the actual leg. will have a look at that.

You might have been riding on it while the pressure was low on that tyre. Hence the abnormal wear.

Thank you GTdespatchcourier, but I have checked the pressures before I went out every time. I have even changed the wheels on to the other side and fitted the tyres the right way round to see if that did any good when I bought new tyres. I asked him what could cause it " Camber of the road I was told".
I have now swapped wheels over to wear the opposite side until I can get round to doing what Maksor suggested. Yes I know the tyres are running backwards, been on to a few YouTube sites and it appears that the tread is only to get rid of water quickly. So if you go out in the rain, slow down.
Been out today for 70 Miles, no problem with handling.
I will check the leg and fitting sometime next week when I have more time.

Did your dealer confirm the alignment? I know that seems like a no-brainer but it is discouraging how few mechanics have actually gone through training on servicing the MP3?

Hi Dooglas. No, the dealer took it into the workshop, came back out half an hour later and pronounced it straight. Mind you I am not impressed with this dealer as I had the knock at 4000 miles and when I picked it up i had no brakes and they had also not put locktite on the nut. Yes there is only one nut(now) on the bearings that get the knock and that is supposed to have locktite fitted. (I am told by the dealer)
I will sort it out my way as the crappiest dealer is 30 miles away and not so crappy dealer 50 miles away.

no way a dealer could get it set on the alignment jig and back out in 30 min. Pretty sure you need to find a dealer whom has done the alignment check and have them check and adjust the shims.

also to do a proper alignment check the tires need to be new, any wear on them will not be able to get a accurate reading. Then when you do replace the tires it won't be right.
