I have a 2008 GTS 125 which I have just fitted the following to.
218 malossi cylinder kit and piston
Malossi variator with alternative rollers mounted in 9.5G and 14g
Malossi delta clutch
Malossi Kevlar belt.
The first hurdle to overcome is the high compression giving me issues starting, but I think a decompression kit from Vespa should fix this.
The other issue is I feel like the transmission is dragging/ bogging down on acceleration.
This is causing the bike to stall a lot and generally give an unpleasant ride.
My question is what settings should I start the variator and clutch at?
I am tempted to return these to standard in order to benchmark the cylinder kit and then introduce things one at a time.
What are your thoughts experience ideas to help me along?
This transmission is outside of my experience to date (garage full of bmw bikes) but keen to get it sorted and running right.
