Hi everyone I'm from beautiful Vancouver island and my wife and and I bought 2 49cc for some fun and of course fell in love. She boutbthis 2015 typhoon 4v 4t with 3000 original kms. And I bought a pre bug zuma 2001 2t minaarelli vertical and within the 1st week of course I had a new variator and clutch new polini sport kit 70cc and the polini stealth pipe. 90km per hour with my 6 foot 5 300lb butt on I thought was quite good. Anyhow. Bad bad week. I was on way to work on the zuma and being quite nice to it at that point (usually it's full send 99.9% of the time) and it quit and it had a sloppy spark plug head and had done this before. Then if I waited 30 secs it would start and I could ride again 30 secs layer cuts out again. 4x that happened I made it to work parked it. After work fired right up I was half throttling it three whole time just in case. And about halfway home it cut out never to start again. . 1st thing I found out was those new lithium batts for scoots bikes etc. Garbage never again. So long story short after replacing sparknplug boot and pulling carb and petcock. Seemed to crank really fast so bought a compression yester. Wa wa wa 30 psi that's it but it did hold it dontnknow if thats good news or what. Can u sometimes get away with just new rings? Or is my new kit cooked?. 2n I take wife's scoot today electric starts right up but I notice no headlights on dash or front bulbs. Went for 500meter ride shut it off when I got back it wouldn't crank at all completely flat. (Hate kicking these ones to so goofy and takes like 6 kicks) the prebug was always one and done. Anyhow tested batt 10.6 was 13.1 only 30bmins ago. So some serious drainage I will do the test I read about with the rectifier once batt charges if it does even. But I sure hope I'm not lookin at a stator on a 3000km barely ridden bike. And somebody said 180nfor a VR? That's insane my prebug was 25 canadian pesos including delivery. We both just re insured for the year and bowbits looking terrible. Any help with the typhoon would be much appreciated. Never had it apart . Is there a service manual download somewhere or secret fuse panel for the height issue. Because once started the headlights should been fine off alternator power correct? Uggg whats up with is thing . We had so much fun and hers has been babiedike crazy. Please help

Rockyp, welcome to MV!

I'm sure someone will come along soon and impart some scooter wisdom upon you. Alas, I am not that someone. When able, post pics of your rides as we love them around here. Razz emoticon
