I did an oil change on my Prima 150 today, and this went remarkably easily thanks to a few handy items which I thought I'd share.

I have no handy stand and if you use the centrestand, this gets in the way of drainage. I used a 100 x 100 block of wood under the right side of the stand and and a 50mm thick block under the side stand. This holds the bike vertical and steady.

Next up was a 150mm "wobble" extension bar for the 24mm socket; this lets you unscrew the oil drain with ease, working around the exhaust.

My last win for the day was a cheap oil pump to transfer the new oil into the filler. This cost me about USD15 at my local auto parts store, and allowed a completely mess free refill of the bike (as in not one drip spilled!). I can recommend this item, looks like it will also be ideal for refilling the final drive too.

Good ideas; thanks for posting. I've been using a 60cc medical syringe for topping off the motor oil...easy and neat.

EDIT: Does that oil pump screw to the the oil bottle? I can't tell from the picture. Does it reach all the way to the bottom of the bottle?

yes it screws onto a quart bottle and comes with the extension tubes to suck the oil from the bottom of the bottle.

now it won't completely get all the oil out, but no biggie as a scooter usually takes a tad over a quart anyway. So when you use some out of the 2nd quart and are done, just drain what's left in the first quart to the 2nd.
