I feel so financially destroyed when I see offers like this in the States. It's not even funny how much cheaper bikes (good ones at that) are there than here. One would never, ever find an SS180 in such condition at that price over here, never. If I found that bike here, it would be deal of the century, not deal of the day.

Thanks jess I stop in now and then. I don't ride as much anymore, and have barely ridden the SS. So it was time to pass it on to a new custodian.

Sold last night to a guy in Ann Arbor, Michigan, which is fitting as that's where I bought it in November 2006!

I got a *lot* of offers from Germany within hours of posting on a vintage scooter buy/sell FB group. I wasn't going to mess with the hassle, though.

Been a bit of an SS180 renaissance here on NSM as of late.
Fun to watch.

It was my pleasure, and it was very nice to meet you. I hope that your drive home was less wet that when you came south. And in talking with you, I know that you will be a better custodian for that particular scoot than I have been. It is definitely going to a good home!

In discussing various bits and pieces, I also realized how much I've forgotten. I mean, I've been fiddling with engines most of my life; how can I forget the term "cylinder head"? I know I'm forgetful, but at 67, I'm way too young to have words just fall out of my head.

Damn, my wife is right! I don't remember shit!

Oh, and please remove and destroy my Ohio license plate. I forgot about that. I don't want the police showing up to arrest me after you rob a 7-11 on a scooter.
