This could be completely normal but I have noticed when I apply the front brake on my BV350 there is a slight noise which I can only describe as sounding a bit like "Crickets". Like a Hydraulic hiss. I dont think it does it from the back brake, just the front. Its all the time as well when you brake, not just when its been used a lot or in certain conditions. Brakes work ok though although there is more play on the front than the rear (Leaver depresses slightly further).

Any thoughts?

It's due to air in the holes in the disc. As the disc rotates through the brake pads, the air gets hot, and the pressure in that space increases. Then when the hole rotates out from between the pads, it goes "pop".

Brilliant thanks

Reassuring to know.

Had a cracking ride out today. 170 miles which is our longest yet since we got the BV. Over in the Lake District which is less than an hour from where I live in the North Yorkshire dales. Great day. Bike went really well. Some great roads and eight lakes.
