Hi all, first post here. Purchased an elettrica a few days ago. It's a 50 with blue trim. I wanted a 70 but in N/A they are only available in yellow trim which we did not care for. Most of my around town larger roads are 50km/h, therefore people are right up your rear or passing you. Another 10km/h would be great. I'm positive the speed limiter is software governed, has anyone found the hack to bypass or raise this. It's a beautiful quiet machine and now sits beside a Lambretta 1964 TV175.

Welcome to MV!
I have zero experience with the Elecrtrica. I'm not sure, but I don't think it is intentionally limited, that's just the way it is designed. Someone will come along soon to confirm or refute this, soon. Post some pics of your new ride. PLEASE! |

I would second that guess, but without any real basis in knowledge.
I'm holding out for a long range, highway speed electric Vespa. I'm guessing those are still fifteen or twenty years down the road. Maybe I should start stashing $700 a year away, (guessing on inflation). |

Definitely software as top speed is too accurate, always 48km/h. Battery and electric motor have more than enough for a little extra juice.

I recognize the lathe and I have the big brother to the cabinet it's sitting on. Whalen, I think.
The Lambretta is pretty nice, too! |

Norm01 you missed the trick I'm afraid you could have bought the yellow 70km model and swapped the trim as an aftermarket purchase .

Not the seat trim, unless you want to spend big $$. Wheel rims are trimmed out too, I'm sure they are also not cheap.

Don't think you'll be able to hack the software , the wheel trim is just an adhesive and i don't think a seat is big bucks / pounds.

Different part codes for motor, ECU / Controller, Battery, main loom, etc. so I don't think it's only a software restriction...
