Hi friends

My indicators will work fine whit the ignition on and the engine not running, and also with my engine on but the scooter not moving. When I start driving they will only work some times but always come on if I hit the brakes (hard).

I have checked the wires at the switch and at the socket to the regulator.

Where else could I look? Does this not sound like a loose connection? Or a bad regulator?

Thanks

Søren

I played some more with the scooter today.

It seems that when the indicators are not working and I activate the brake light - no matter if the scooter is moving or not - the indicators will come on.

I suspect that there is a grounding issue and when activating the brake the ground is established? Does this make sense?

Thanks

Søren

It was a weak battery!!

Activating the brakes must have closed a circuit and thereby adding some of the missing current?

Glad you got it fixed, though not sure about the cause / effect.

I did not fix it anyway.

It seems that the regulator will not put out an indicator signal when the voltage goes above ~13,5 v.

When I hit the break the breaklight will cause a drop in the voltage from ~ 14,6 v to below ~ 13,5 v

I have ordered a new regulator and hope that this will fix it.

The new battery did not help for long. As soon as it was charged it too allowed the voltage to go higher than 13,5 v.

Sorry for the language - I hope you understand

Thanks

It was a bad regulator. New one installed and all is well.

Happy scootering
