We can even arrange for a virtual tour via Facetime.
I am really, really glad I got the BV 500. It has been very dependable with normal service. It has plenty of power and easily keeps up with other scooters and motorcycles on the highway. Having long legs, I could always use a little more leg room. However, this scooter gives me more than others I tried on for size.
Starts up right away. Rides great on the freeways and has 460 CC's of power that can handle the 405, 110, 10, 105 freeways at 90+ MPH. You can ride in the diamond lanes in California and it's just the right size for lane splitting the mirrors don't stick out as much.
I have lower back problems and this bike has an excellent center of gravity and suspension over the bumps so there is no lower back pain even on long rides.
We need to move to Arizona in the near future and I think it will just be too hot to ride around with out AC in 115F weather.
The bike is automatic and requires a California CLASS CM1 or other State equivalent. I cannot recommend for 1st time riders, start smaller with a 250 or 350 Vespa.
We can arrange to meet for a test drive or inspect and at the end of this listing I even offer to throw in my SHOEI helmet and gloves. If you like the bike you can apply for insurance on the fly and if approved drive it home that day or if you are in the area I can drive it to your house and Uber it back home at no additional cost to you.
Will require initial $500 deposit via Venmo or Zelle and the remainder in Zelle, Venmo or cash in person. The title is clean and in my name. Registration was just paid and on average insurance with Geico costs $280-300 based on mature driver rebates, age and location.
I'm willing to negotiate on price.
Buyers pays shipping or we can meet.

MAINTANCE THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE IN THE NEAR FUTURE:
The bike currently starts right up and runs great but will eventually need the following:
-speedometer/odometer cable needs to be replaced, current millage reads 20725
(so estimate up to 29,000 since it is not a daily rider and didn't get used at all in 2020)
Estimate at the Vespa dealership with part & labor was $175~ the part itself is $64.95
https://www.scooterwest.com/speedo-cable-bv500-and-2009-bv250-tourer-650339.html
-Saddle/Seat is starting to peeling and estimated to get it repaired were $350-375, there might be used ones online or it might be cheaper in your area to get it refinished, new seats are $400 if you can find one.
There is one on Ebay for $379.88 but check if it is for 2009 because original seat is beige (https://www.ebay.com/itm/252765142703?epid=557631932&hash=item3ad9f9feaf:g:4ecAAOSwZVhWS0gS)
-
The bike will need an eventual New Belt and CVT maintenance
(which is common & last done ~2014 but for now good to go)
-Needs a diagnosis on the charging system, which I last had in 2015, but it might require a new voltage regulator, I have to trickle charge the new battery every now and then. Last diagnosis in 2015 was loose wires around the voltage regulator but this would require a Vespa technician to properly diagnose.
-Will need an eventual oil change (filter included in parts section)
Part can be purchased at: https://www.scooterwest.com or at your local Piaggio dealership
PARTS INCLUDE:
1-new oil filter
1-new manual seat opened cable (seat can be opened by button or manual cable)
