Au contraire! It means you have found the limit! Now that you know what it feels like, the trick is to go even faster. That takes some careful coaxing, just-slightly-off WFO, until the bike edges faster. It's a delicate process. You should also be, at that point, in full tuck, trying to make as small a profile to the wind as possible.
Yeah, basically. But ignore her. She can go faster.
Trust me, I was in full tuck. We had stopped for a quick water break when my husband passed us up and kept riding. He announced that he was feeling wonky and rode off into 25 miles of twisty road sans civilization. It was about 115° out and the nearest gas station was only 8 miles away but in a different direction. He obviously wasn't in his right mind.
He's the guy who won't tell you he's feeling sick until it's too late to do anything about it. He doesn't want to ruin your fun. There was no way in hell I was going to let him ride into the wilds alone. I said my goodbyes and geared up to follow him.
He must of had perfect timing because there was a long line of slow-moving cars between us. Almost the whole 25 miles is double-yellow, which I ignored at every safe opportunity. It took me about 10 minutes to catch up but it felt like 20.
All turned out well but he got the short version of the "if you'd just listened to me" lecture, once his brain was back online.
