Modern Vespa

Hello,
Because of all the interactions on this forum, I trust and respect the opinions/information provided by the people on this forum. That being said, I am interested in any experiences with Butterfield & Robinson which provide organized travel. While this isn't a scooter trip it is billed as an active trip with biking, hiking and sailing. It is called Greek Islands Active 2021.

We have done a bicycling tour of Tuscany with Vermont Bicycle Tours and enjoyed that. So have some experience with active travel.

If anyone has experience with this firm, I would appreciate hearing about it. If it is something that you don't want to share publicly, please PM me.

Butterfield & Robinson Is known as a premier company. The most expensive. Highly regarded. We have mostly used Backroads for tours of this type. Backroads is also in the upper tier and of very high quality.

Bill - thank you for your input. B&R is high end, usually not what we go for, but a couple has suggested it as they want to do a trip. They are active people (bike, ski, hike) and he was diagnosed with Parkinson's last year. She wants to do something memorable for/with him before it gets worse. They are also big foodies. Their son won a national cheese mongers contest, went to France to represent US and placed 4th. So good tastes run in the family so cuisine is important.

Your trip will be the best of everything. Enjoy.

We had the times of our lives on two wheels. Motor-less except some electric assist help up hills.

I wonder about a Vespa version of these trips. Seeing new towns in Europe by bicycle was fantastic. By Vespa it might be more fun. Are there scooter tours?

Since the cycling tours were largely food and wine after vigorous exercise, a Vespa tour might have to include larger and larger engines.
