Hi. If your Elettrica tops out at 25km/hour, it needs repair.

There are two Elettrica models. One has a max speed of around 48km/h, and the other around 70km/h.

Either model can be set to Eco mode, where the top speed is significantly lower. I would suggest carefully reading the manual to confirm you're operating it in Power mode (not Eco mode), and if you are, consulting your dealer to diagnose and repair the problem.

I talked to our local dealer about just this. The thing about the two models is ... they are the same. Top speed set at the factory, and even the dealers don't have the ability to change it. The difference is in the programming/software/firmware.

He also told me that the 70km/hr model eats up battery power much faster than specs in the real world.

But yeah. Contact your dealer.

Not true , your dealership is incorrect seamus26 my Elettrica 70 does exactly what the specs says except it goes 1mph faster at 44mph rather than the 43mph that is published .

My 70km/h Elettrica is right on spec with battery consumption and capacity (range). My top speed seems to be about 1mph above the max specified. I have about 1,600 miles on it.

More to the point, no model of Elettrica should have the speed limitation OP is encountering, unless he's put it into Eco mode.

Great mind your dealer. If you want to go faster you have to replace a part in the final drive. 45-52or 70 ring is available but cost is high.

When I looked at this a couple of years ago, you could push a 45 Elettrica a bit, but you couldn't push it to the same speed as the 70. From memory, the aftermarket final drive gave you about a 9km/h / 6mph boost.

Can you now push a 45 even further, and also push the 70?

My speedo was always 3mph above at all speeds, so 28mph showed as 31mph on the dash. Power would be cut at the indicated 31mph, but it was possible to go quicker if you were going downhill - so it was never limited by gears, only the motor was programmed to cut out at a certain speed.
