Modern Vespa

Greetings all. I'm going to look at a 2007 GTS 250,15k miles,2nd owner. Current owner states they replaced tires and battery 6 weeks ago, some scratches here and there but nothing significant as per pictures. Owner also says they have some maintenance records from original owner. The asking price is $3995.Scooter has top case as only extra. Scooter is located in southwest Florida near Ft Myers. Thanks for your input

For me....bike is 2007, nearly 15 years old----if you do not do own work, expensive to keep. My book $750 tops.----they can be expensive to fix!

Book value looks like somewhere between $1800- $2500.

i'd say 2~25 all day. scrapes are a minus. but new rubber is a plus. top case is moot.

Offer $2,000 and be prepared to walk away. He will call you later!

Here's a GTS250 recently sold comparable for pricing purposes. 3800 miles for $2900.

$2000 would be a top offer for me. Accessories add very little value in resale.

Get a pre purchase inspection, it's cheap insurance and double check the title lest you get smoked.

But most of all be prepared to flat ass walk away.

Be prepared to see someone else buy it if you expect to go by nada or kbb or the advice of people who haven't been in the market for a while. Used vehicles have appreciated over the last few months. It's a bit high, but I'll bet the seller gets closer to 3K than the stack of food stamps and bucket of fried chicken everyone is suggesting it's worth. Red is a very desirable color.
