I'll start us off since we rode a day early. Eight Sonoran Sunriders met for breakfast and a short ride through a local scenic park before it got too close to the projected 108°.

We are facing a potential all day rain. 😫. Not sure I have the fortitude to ride in the rain, if it's not cancelled.

Pictures seem to get lost in the Scooter Gallery as they only get seen if people are looking for them. Posting them here, I hope, will make events like this more appealing.

I was a parade of one to get breakfast tacos.

Naples Florida
Met at the Vespa dealer, rode through town honking our horns. Stopped for pizza in town. Loads of fun. About 20 riders.
My red Primavera was the best looking Vespa there. IMHO

That all looks like big fun! We are continuing our trek north for some good riding in the Black Hills for the next couple of months. Had to check on the Vespa before rolling out of the RV park this morning... not much of a parade.

Solo parade of 1 here too. I did see a wild pack of scooters going by me the other way and one kid was riding a wheelie! I've seen them a few times now. Crazy stuff but sure catches your eye when a scooter is going by you on one wheel.

We had a great time and no rain. Weather and temps were perfect.

That was me with my red Primavera.

The closest parade to me, that I am aware of, was in Denver, and that is still a long day's ride away - two days if you want to enjoy it. The Tucson/Phoenix area isn't all that much further away, I think.

And I also got the day wrong - for some reason, I kept thinking Saturday was Vespa Parade Day - my daughter and I rode out to Tesuque on the GTV, (which I have never found a suitable name for - I wanted to name her Francesca, but I had a workstudy student working for me by that name when I bought the GTV, and it seemed awkward to give it the same name as an employee). We had breakfast at the Tesuque Village Market, and it was a lovely ride down the curvy road from Santa Fe. Unfortunately, I took no photos.

Yesterday was rainy in the morning, and Sunday is the day we buy our supplies for the week, so I'm afraid not even a parade of one on Vespa Parade Day.

It's traditionally held on a Sunday, but Saturday worked better for our club president. I would have happily made it a two-day weekend affair if our local Vespa dealer had something planned as in years past. Alas, nothing was on their schedule this year.

At the NY parade the sponsor is a pastry shop and the owner is from Formia, a city 80 km away. south of me and in the province of Latina (seen on FB).

I led the 7Bridges Scooter Club ride on Vespa Parade Day, yesterday.

I rode the only Vespa.

Vespa Motorsports parade. Hmm... apparently as a photographer... I'm a really good second grade teacher. Here is a shot of the 150 or so scoots at the start. Once I started rolling all thoughts of photography went "poof."

I'd love to get that kind of participation in this area.

You were missed! You don't have to wait until next year. In the fall we'll ride to Tucson to meet with the Sky Island Riders and they will come up to ride with us. That'll be fun!
