Me too... the last Haynes manual stops at 2018. I wish they would do one on the HPE.

You'll get 90% or more of the information you need from a prior year manual.

I used to buy Hanes manuals for my cars, then stopped about 10 years ago or so.
Brakes are brakes, oil changes are all about the same, etc.
Just gain experience, then go by the manufacturer's time intervals for things.

YMMV.

I agree but, isn't the hp engine different enough to need some new info?

I don't know how much is new, and that's kind of the point. The "90% is the same" is ok for someone with a lot of experience, but that's not me. I have already found that the coolant bleed screw assembly is totally redesigned. I need to flush the coolant and got no responses to my questions about it here because it's new and, I guess, no one has done it before. I don't want to spend good money on a manual that still leaves me guessing.

I've got the owner's manual. We're talkin about a workshop manual for the HPE.

Edit... now I see the workshop manuals in the parent directory. Thanks for that. Only problem is it is from 2008. Still fun and interesting to read.

Yeah, the factory workshop manual is what I always use if doing a complete engine rebuild on any engine I'm unfamiliar with. You get the exact engine tolerances that you need to work to and all the other specs straight from the horses mouth, rather than from a third party. Although Haynes manuals are pretty good and over the years I've rarely been able to fault them. If you wait another year or so the HPE Haynes manual will come out. It takes a little time to produce them when there is a model change.

I've seen inside the HPE engine and it is substantially different in several areas. Although the basic design is still very close to the previous motor, there has been substantial evolution. It's an excellent engine!

The workshop manual also has data on the tightening torques of the screws.

Does the 2018 HPE have hydraulic brakes?

You won't find that in the Hayne's manual.

Hasn't the GTS had front and rear hydraulic discs since the introduction of that model in 2006? (both my '08 and my '15 do)

You can buy a manual download from AF1 Racing; just $8.99.

I found these online are they not for the Vespa GTS SuperTech 300 HPE?

or is the above manual from AF12 better suited?

The vespaforum ones are the same as those on my site, they are for the 300 Super, NOT the Supertech HPE.

Sorry, this is the best I can do for the HPE, until some kind soul provides me with further info:

Yes, the Haynes manual lists abs brakes in it.

Since we're on the subject of manuals, will this work for a '12 GTS 300 Super and a '13 GTS 300ie?
