Attitude is everything, and you have that in spades. Don't worry about being strong for others. Sometimes showing your weaknesses means more than your strength. Smile, cry, laugh, and grumble with those that share in your pain and you will all become stronger for it.

Don't forget the loved ones that don't understand what you're going through. No putting up a good front or hiding your pain, fear, or discomfort. Gently help them understand what you need to get through this. They'll be grateful to be able to contribute in some way to your recovery.

Update;

After a 14 month journey I had my CT scans Tuesday and the oncologist called us Wednesday.

He said and I quote "David and Lynda if you have any fireworks and champagne pop them now because you, Mr. Meyer are cancer free, you beat this thing."

So the hard work and prayers paid off. I still can't feel my ear or half of my face but seriously who cares, I lived. Still going to PT and sorting it out. Retired, wife, kids and 4 Grandkids, this is getting good.
