On my 79 rally 200 the front brake cover? Spins when I ride. Is this normal? Not sure if it should ride with the wheel or not. It looks a little rusty and warped. Having trouble finding just this part to replace it. Any insight?

Don't ride it like that!

The dust cover is held on with these press tabs.

It looks like it got bent, and is catching on the hub. It's not supposed to move.

Mine's been doing that for years. Wish I had noticed it when I had the front hub apart. At idle it rattles and moves around, eventually it sticks and goes quiet. I may get around to puting some RTV or something on the back to keep it in place.

Thanks for the input
Found it on scooterwest
https://www.scooterwest.com/dust-plate-front-rally-fork.html

And installed today. It just kind of snapped in there with some help of a punch and a hammer.
No more spinning and no more noise.
Thanks
