The P200 has some surface rust and some floor rust, but nothing serious.
With the SS180 project at the media blasters waiting on the rains to stop, I decided to clean up some of the frame on this ghostly white P. Started with a good soap and water clean and then tried a clay bar. It worked, but... it was pretty tedious. Decided to kick things up a notch, and based on a some basic chemistry, decided to give apple cider vinegar a go.
The result.... pretty positive. The mild acidity of the vinegar does take some paint off along with the rust, but as long as you rinse with water and dry it's pretty harmless. You will smell like a Greek salad for the rest of the day... other than that though it worked a charm.
After everything was cleaned up we took the Ghost P200 to storage. It's hanging with the VBC and after the SS project it will be a tough call as to which one gets built out first. We'll see. All and all a productive Saturday in the garage.
