Wait! Are you saying you don't like Jimmy, and one of the greatest Rock albums of all time!?

😜

Edit: A link for those wondering what I'm talking about.
The album was mediocre at best. The bike wasn’t even a GS— which is what an Ace would’ve ridden, it was some hodge podge of a rally and question marks. The anoraks will tell you what it actually was.

Anyway, Jimmy a was a poser, the bike was bullshittery and the album was ho-hum. The whole movie is trash.

I cut this out of an issue of New Musical Express in the early 80's, right around the peak of the Mod revival in England. Nice bike under all that.
I always wondered... did any of those extra lights actually work?

I know you’re not running more than one or two at a time with a 6 volt, 60 watt generator (or less!) but did they actually bother to connect any of that crap?

The extra weight alone must have cut the performance by a ton.

I had a big bullet light on the front wired direct to the main headlight which ran off the stator, and two fog lights off the battery with a switch on the glove box. The fogs killed the battery in about 5 minutes, so it was just to look cool riding up, not truly functional.
