I was wondering what is the real fuel consumption on a vbb? Original spec call for 2.2liters/100km wich is about 106 mpg. Wich seem quite high.

I suspect mine is more in the 3 to 4 liters /100km wich is about 58-78 mpg and maybe more. On a full tank i do avout 150km or 90 miles

What is your fuel consumption like with the old vbb 150 from the 60's?

Mine is similar to your high side (60-70), but there are variables of terrain, wheel size, compression/engine condition, and riding style to consider. The 106 rating is probably about as accurate as the rating on my Forester (not worth the paper it's printed on).

Also, 1960s fuel is not very comparable to today's fuel.
