Modern Vespa

Its always something....... After coming home from an uneventful 23 miles ride on my new 2021 GTS 300 HPE, I shut the bike off and now I'm hearing a rhythmic, low pitch creaking noise. I'm waiting for the bike to cool down, but it's been at least 15 minutes since I shut her off and she's still making the noise. Any ideas before I call the Vespa dealer tomorrow?

FAQ: Why does my GTS groan/moan/moo or fart when off?

Nothing to worry about.

I think they all groan. It has something to do with pressure release. If you unscrew the gas cap it will stop but then it will start again if you screw it back on.

Ditto on the sound effects. Seems to be the character of the scoot.

I’d probably be more worried now if it DIDN’T talk to me when I park it.

All our Italians do it. My Moto Guzzi is the loudest and my husband claims she is complaining about being put back into the garage. She's jealous because the Vespas get more ride time.

Just got back from a 46 mile ride this morning and she’s farting up a storm in my garage

LOL when I first got my own home that blinking red light really worried me. I thought how could the dealer have overlooked that.

That’s funny, because I thought the exact same thing! I even called the dealer just to make sure all was good.
