Hi i have an ET2 2000 that i crashed a few weeks back, thing is the fan cover shattered and is no longe usable, i went to the dealership and bought the same fan cover but not from piaggio, when the bike is running and the fan spinning it hits the cover, and makes a grinding sound so i assume is not the correct one.

I have noticed that the original cover is much bulkier and larger so the fan doesn't hit anything at all, any chances there was a modification on the cover throughout the years? any help? can i daily the bike without the cover? thanks.

The original one that the bike had is the one on the right

The aftermarket i bought is on the left

Can you take the cover back to the dealer and get one that fits properly. Hopefully there is a part number on the fan cover, or maybe they can identify which one you need from the VIN.
