You'll love it! Check out my "Bought a Stella" thread. Lots of heartache in there, but really enjoying it now.
Yours is much prettier. |

I actually just finished reading your post about buying your Stella, that was a steal for sure! I am sorry for the headache you are going thru now, but I am confident you will have it up and running in no time!
I am trying to boost my Stella's HP and started with the Sito + exhaust, but now it is backfiring... ugh! Not too big of a deal, but think I am needing to re-jet as I am still running the stock jets. |

That’s the four stroke, right? How many miles on it?
If it’s the 4t, it could be valve adjustment. And no worries on mine. This is from this weekend’s ride. Im still tuning the carb a little. It had the air mixture screw locked out from the factory. I can’t find my old tach/dwell meter, so I’m ordering a new tach so I know for sure where the rpms are. Third tank through and the stupid thing is getting me nearly 90mpg. That’s better than my Aprilia 50cc. |

Yes, it is the 4 stroke Stella, so you are thinking a valve adjustment is what is in order? I might take it to a local shop and have them check it out after a rally I have coming up.
That is an awesome Stella you have there, very nice looking and hopefully for you it was still a steal even after the clutch issues that you had. 90mpg is amazing, I just love the Stella's for their vintage look but modern conveniences like electric start. |

And sadly I don’t know any way of getting more HP from a 4 stroke engine other than increasing displacement/ valve changes. Otherwise everyone with a twist and go would have trucks posted online. |
