Hey guys,

I'm new to the vespa thing but I'm super excited! Just got my Sprint 150 and I love it, but I'm looking to replace the brake levers with something to suit a smaller hand. In my research I've seen people post about the dogleg levers but I'm having a hard time finding ones I'm sure will fit my model. Any suggestions? Any help would be great, thank you!

Welcome to MV!

I think you can get adjustables that fit a Vespa. Have you looked on scooterwest.com ?

Hi heathercomestolife and welcome to Modern Vespa!

MV user oopsclunkthud makes (made?) dogleg levers. It looks like he closed his shop but may be selling through Vespa Motorsports. Give them a call and they will let you know what will fit your make and model.

Welcome! I know of the troubles having small hands. Don't even get me started about gloves!

I never bothered to swap out any of my handlebar levers, but I can absolutely understand the desire to do so. Unfortunately, none of the ones you linked to would fit a Sprint. If it doesn't specify Sprint or Primavera, it probably won't work (at least, for something like this--there are some parts/accessories swappable from other modern smallframe models).

We have the Asian market levers for the Sprint/Primavera. They are quite a bit smaller than the standard ones here in the US. Somewhere here on MV is a photo of them next to the regular ones. I haven't had a chance to put them on the site yet, but if you send me a PM within the next 12 hours with your shipping address, I'll send you a pair, and if they work for you, you can post your review here on MV and pay me when I get back from the Scooter Cannonball. They are going to be about the same price as the regular levers, about $30 shipped for a set. I sent a pair of right side levers to WBDVT, and he installed them on a GTS.

Too late, but MV's own oopsclunkthud(.com) has levers with reduced reach.

I got tired of looking at them in boxes and thinking that I need to do something with them, so I finally put the Genuine Vespa Shorty Levers for Vespa Primavera, Sprint, LX and S models on our site. Hopefully the early adopters will come along shortly and share their experiences with these levers.

Here's the link

https://scooterpartsco.com/ricambi/misc/shorty-levers-for-vespa-primavera-sprint-lx-and-s-models

They can be used on the GTS as well, but I need to get a whole lot more disk brake levers than drum brake levers, and so far I've only been able to buy these in sets.

I can attest that Motovista's small hand levers were EXACTLY what I needed. They are definitely smaller than another pair I had ordered from another site before the kind offer to send me a pair. I feel so much safer and more comfortable riding now with levers that actually fit my hands!

How do you measure small hands? What's the standard for a big hand. I just measured my middle finger and it turned out to be three and a quarter inches. Does anybody think I should try another finger? Is there another approach? Razz emoticon

Fill two buckets with concrete. Stick both hands into the buckets. Wait until they harden, then wait patiently until someone shows up and asks why you stuck your hands in buckets of concrete, because you can't dial the phone. Tell them someone on the internet told you that's how to figure out if you have large hands or not. Once the fire department is able to get your hands out of the concrete, shop for gloves. See what size fits. If it's Large, you don't have small hands.

I had no idea how well these would be received. Thank you Heather for the excellent evaluation.

I don't know what that gesture means "where" you "live", but around here it must mean, "I really admire your driving ability," because I see it all the time.
