Thanks to detailed previous posts by Keith regarding part numbers for shorter Hagon shocks and some quick work by Hagon UK, I will soon be able to flat-foot it at red lights. I contacted Hagon UK and inquired about the shocks using the info Keith shared several years ago, and it only took a week for them to send out the shocks I needed based on my weight and passenger (or lack thereof). Package was shipped from the UK on Tuesday July 6; it's already on a UPS truck out for delivery and should be at my house within a couple of hours. The whole transaction was less than $270 including shipping charges. Well worth it, if you ask me.

I'm looking forward to feeling a little more stable and in control at stops.

I do own all three sizes, yes. I started on a 250 and kept it when I moved up to a 400. I rode the 400 for 3+ years until this spring, when we got a can't-pass-this-up deal on a 500. Now I mostly ride the 500 and have more or less passed the 400 to my daughter, and the 250 sits (rarely ridden) and probably needs to be sold.

My husband has the same model I do (2016 500) so we actually have four of them in the garage.

So I installed the shocks last night (with a little help from my husband). Took a ride this morning and OH MY GOSH it is so nice to not have to scoot forward six inches and jump off the seat every. single. time. I come to a stop! I'm so excited that it's almost like having a new scooter! And I feel much more in control when walking the bike/maneuvering it in parking spots etc because I'm not having to fit my body between the end of the seat and the handlebars when I walk it backwards or forwards. (Yes, I know tilt lock helps in those situations, but really only when the ground is level.)

Can't wait to put many, many miles on these shocks. Thanks again, Keith.

*If you do order shocks from Hagon UK, they will no longer supply or sell you the spacers. I ended up using 3mm thick fender washers with a 10mm opening.

I called Hagon today. Unfortunately, the shocks are for the 500 and not the 300 because the 300 has disc brakes and the 500 has drum brakes - the disc brakes mean the shocks don't fit. So this small rider will have to continue to single foot it!
