Over the weekend, a friend of mine brought me his oil change vespa, a crankcase gasket as oil dripped, a new change air filter, and a spark plug.

I decided to make a video of how to change all these consumables on a Vespa GTS 300, if someone decides to do it himself, what are the steps.
The most interesting thing was that the oil sump gasket had oiled at its upper end, and the variator belt had not rubbed there.

All filters, oil, candle and gasket are purchased from the official Vespa dealer. I was pleasantly surprised that the air filter is pre-oiled unlike aftermarket filters.
It took me about an hour or so to change everyone.
I think for a true Vespa fan this would be a nice time on the bike.
I hope the video helps you, and that my efforts to capture and process it have not been in vain.
If you have any questions I would be happy to answer.

Did you remove the transmission cover just for inspection purposes?

Мах6200 I have had other similar cases of this crankcase gasket leaking. And I knew it was leaking oil.
The reason is that the aluminum on the oil sump cover swings slightly from the temperature. If it does not help only by changing the gasket, the crankcase is placed on a flat surface and sanded. This evens out the curvature of the surface.

Thanks Maxi6200! Yesterday I processed the last video with a common problem with Vespa, for which there was no video on how to fix the problem. In general, it was difficult to change the silentblock, but it was also difficult for me to shoot the video. The camera could hardly shoot in the dark holes for bolts and spring grips. But you can still get an idea of what the steps are to replace it.
I apologize for my poor English, but I use Google Translate. If you have any questions I would be happy to answer.
I will be happy to like the video and write a comment. This way I will know that my efforts to shoot and edit the video, as well as the work on the bike itself, were not in vain. And I have managed to help other Vespa fans who would try to change this silent block themselves.

Another good video, thanks.

Gotta say, I was expecting something else when you mentioned changing the tampon.

Google translate strikes again!

Literal translations often have "out of context" words that make the meaning a bit comical. Seems like my most comical one was painting versus sewing in German. ROFL emoticon Lots of laughs at that meeting! ROFL emoticon

Should you need to return the abuse (as is only fair)

I’ve had machines of many makes far more worthy of taunting than the might Goose:

Gilera, CZ, Jawa, Dnepr, Velorex, Motobecane, Enfield...

Pick one and have fun.

My recommendation would be the Dnepr... that thing had casting sand still stuck to the inside of the crankcase, rocker covers so porous they bled oil once warm and a large piece of welding rod sticking out of the frame... for starters!

Ha, no need. I know Guzzi has a reputation but it's ill-deserved in most cases for the newer units.

Thanks for correcting me! I really wrote a lot of nonsense worthy of a lot of laughter ROFL emoticon Google Translator does such things Facepalm emoticon
I laughed a lot when I understood the meaning of the word "tampon".
In the Bulgarian language this word has two meanings:
1.Tampon-silent block
2.Tampon-for ladies ROFL emoticon
And carefully by changing the "tampons" on your vespas ROFL emoticon

I'm hoping for the next video, which I plan to do in August, because I'm going to the sea to avoid such comic situations. See you soon friends!
