I'm experiencing some trouble with my PX clutch. It shifts up fine, but when I shift down (speed does not matter) it gives me a short grinding sound and almost locks the rear wheel. If I slow down to almost a stand still and ease out the clutch really slow I can get it to downshift fine, but that's not a fun way to ride There is also a faint "rattling" sound when the clutch is disengaged. It goes away when I pull the clutch. Could this be a worn copper bushing in the clutch or is there other things to look out for?
So not even recommended limping around town with it?
If you enjoy crashing, go for it...I've had it happen. The problem will only worsen and you can have the clutch out and back in with an hour or two of effort. Something is wrong that affects both performance and safety.
Noted! It has to be moved from where it is now to a new location in a couple of days, and I have no other way of transporting it than driving it. Will have a look at the clutch and see what's up.
